David Cosgrave, 62, of Athens, formerly of McConnelsville passed away April 27, 2023 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after a short illness. He worked as a property manager for Happy Valley Mobile Home Park in Athens for many years. He was a brother, uncle and a friend. David loved animals and rescued many. He is survived by his brothers Jimmy Cosgrave of McConnelsville, Mike Cosgrave of Malta, and Joe Cosgrave of Salesville, his fur babies Chichi, Mitzi, and Lexi. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews Teri Little of McConnelsville, Tina Delmatto of Logan, Josh, Brittany, Barbie Cosgrave, Danny Cosgrave, Janet, Tracy, Kenny Cosgrave, Chris Cosgrave and Trish Cosgrave. He was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Vondora Fleming  Cosgrave, two brothers Jeff and Steven Cosgrave.  At his request, a caring cremation will take place and a memorial  service will be held soon.
