David W. Dille, age 79, of Stockport, Ohio, died at his residence , following a long illness, on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 2:30 a.m. He was born on January 2, 1936 in Sharpsburg, Ohio, a son of the late Basil F. Dille and Alda McCune Dille. He was employed for 33 years as a supervisor for Mar-Zane Inc. of Zanesville and in the asphalt industry for 49 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean Starling Dille of the home; 1 son: Scott (Jacque Cork) Dille of Cambridge, Ohio; 2 daughters: Joyce Dille of Todds, Ohio, and Brenda (Allen) Carpenter of Stockport, Ohio; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 4 brothers: Basil Dille Jr. (Barb), Buncombe, Ill., Vern Dille (Starr), Pennsville, Ohio, Gary Dille (Karen), Mt Vernon, Ill., Curt Dille (Jean), Stockport, Ohio; 3 sisters: Eva Allen of Cincinnati, Ohio, Beverly (Ronnie) Mayle of Chesterhill, Ohio and Linda (Roger) McPeek, also of Chesterhill. Other than his parents, David was preceded in death by 1 son, Davy, and 4 brothers: Richard, Archie, Floyd, and Dana. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Tim Matheney officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
