David A. Myer, 81, of McConnelsville, formerly of Columbus, passed away on Friday, Oct. 18, 2019 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 22, 1938 to the late Calvin and Inez Wright Myer. He was a retired Police Officer for the City of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Pyne Myer of the home, a half-brother, Michael Jacox of Columbus, a brother-in-law, George (Janet) Pyne of Dublin, a niece, Tina Lapolla of Worthington and several other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marilyn Blevins. A caring cremation is taking place at his request. Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.
