Dean H. Thompson, 77, of McConnelsville passed away at 8:34 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born October 27, 1939 in Morgan County to the late Isac Warren Thompson and Blanche Mason Thompson.  Dean was retired from the I.B.E.W. Local #71 of Columbus where he worked as a high line electrician for 40 years. He was a  member of the Main Street Church Of Christ  in McConnelsville. Dean loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Norma Roberts Thompson; two daughters, Barbara Pope of McConnelsville and  Pam Morrow of Malta; three grandchildren, Jeremy Pope, Lacy K. Morrow, and Shala Nelson; six great grandchildren, Kylie and Aydin Pope, Lexi Morrow, Reighan  Martin, Kale and Brant Morrow; a special great-grandson, Dylan McMannis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and John Thompson and four sisters, Mary Harris, Norma Embree, Marie Tyson, and Edna Phillips. Calling hours will be Monday, February 6, 2017 from 10-30-11-30 a.m. at the Main Street Church Of Christ  in McConnelsville where funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Rik Snyder officiating.
