Delmar D. White, 92, of Rokeby Lock, Ohio passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence on Tues, Feb. 22, 2022. He was born on March 16, 1929 in Elkton, Kentucky to the late Erbin and Gertrude Dossett White. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served for 20 years and 20 days. He entered the Air Force in 1950 while living in Ohio and lived in many states, including Texas, Hawaii, Illinois as well as time spent in England, Itazuke Air Force Base, Japan and Thule Air Base, Greenland. After he retired from the Airforce, he worked at Malta Manufacturing, AEP at the Muskingum River Power Plant and also as a bus driver in Cody, Wyoming. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra White, sons, Richard (Carolyn Garner) White of Zanesville, Chuck (Betty) White of McConnelsville, a daughter, Elizabeth (Danny) Moore of McConnelsville as well as 2 step-sons, Robert Oliver of Rolla, Missouri and Rodney (Pam) Oliver of Cody, Wyoming, 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Edna Mae Rose and Rubie Wilson and 4 brothers, Owen White, Louis White, Luther Wilson Jr. and Douglas Brewer. A visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022 from 5-7 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville. A caring cremation will be taking place at his request.
