Delores Pauline Shook, 87, of Chesterhill, died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Riverside Country Care Center in McConnelsville, at 5:40 a.m. She was born on May 20, 1922 in Amesville, Ohio to the late Carlos A. and Effie Fleming North. Delores worked as a laborer for Malta Manufacturing in Malta and retired from the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill. She attended the Chesterhill United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Chesterhill OES Rebekah Lodge and OCCL Mothers Club. She is survived by one son Gary (Sue) Shook of Chesterhill, one daughter, Kaye (Larry) Ratliff of Malta, one brother, Donald (Naomi "Peg") North of Chesterhill, fourteen grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Everett M. Shook and two sons, Kenneth and Claude Shook. Services will be Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00a.m. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with pastor Charlie Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at the Chesterhill Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. at the funeral home.
