Deloris Ditter Murphey, 76, of McConnelsville, died on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 10:55 A.M. at the Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville. She was born on April 27, 1936 in Roseville to the late Ralph and Opal Goble Ditter. She was a homemaker and helped work on the family farm. She was a member of the McConnelsville Church of Nazarene and loved her many years of volunteer service at the Mark Rest Center. She is survived by 2 sons, Michael (Debbie) Murphey and Brian Murphey both of McConnelsville, 1 sister, Laura Smith of Zanesville, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Murphey and 1 brother, Ralph Ditter. Services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Malta Cemetery. Friends may call on the family 1 hour prior to the services.
