Denzil Lee Lighthizer, 77, of 43 North 9th Street, McConnelsville, passed away at 6:20 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.

He was born October 16, 1934 in Morgan County to the late William Lighthizer and Jessie Teter Lighthizer.

Denzil worked on farm machinery with hay bailers being his specialty. He also took care of the Frank Demster Memorial Park in Malta for many years.

He is survived by two sisters, Beula Hooper and Evelyn Ross, both of Malta; and a brother, Carl Lighthizer of Stockton, CA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

No services will be observed and a caring cremation will take place.
