Dessie A. Roberts Taylor

Dessie A. Taylor, 93, of McConnelsville, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville.

She was born September 29, 1919 in Athens County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Bert Roberts and Meriby White Roberts.

She was retired from Malta Manufacturing in Malta and was a member of the Neelyville Grange and the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Neelysville.

She is survived by one daughter, Iris (Bill) Roe of McConnelsville; one son, Rodney (Bea) Taylor of Vincent; a daughter-in-law, Doris Taylor of Stockport; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one step-great- grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen (Doc) Taylor, who died in 1987; one son, Roger Taylor; one sister, Betty Louise Harlow; and three brothers, Bert Floyd Roberts, Ira Frances Roberts and Donald Roberts.

Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, with Pastor Walter Jones officiating.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Ebenezer Cemetery near Neelysville.
