Dixie L. Clifton, 77, of McConnelsville passed away at 7:35 p.m. Thursday March 2, 2107 at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville. She was born January 6, 1940 in Morgan County to the late Steven Slivka and Ruth  Wainwright Slivka. Dixie was the owner and operator of the former Dixie's Trophy Shop. She was also a member of the Seventh Street Church Of Christ. She is survived by her husband of 59 years John W. "Bill" Clifton, two daughters Peggy (Bill) Barnes and Rita (Doug) Riley all of McConnelsville, a son Doug (Diana) Clifton of McConnelsville, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a brother Larry Slivka of McConnelsville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Robert Slivka. At her request no visitation or funeral will be held, a graveside service will be Monday March 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Evangelist Sam Bartrug officiating.
