Don Rex Williams McCONNELSVILLE: Don Rex Williams, 84, of Malta passed away at 8:25 a.m. Tuesday September 10,2013 at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville. He was born January 3,1929 in Bristol, W.V. to the late Howard Williams and Juanita Barnes Williams. Don was retired from Clevite Corp. of McConnelsville where he had worked for over 30 years. He was a Army veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army and National Guard for 32 years. He was a member of the Corinthian Lodge #111 F. & A. M. of McConnelsville and the American Legion Post #24 of McConnelsville. He was also a member of the Malta United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Frances Smith Williams; a son, James J. Williams of Malta; sister, Murle Apperson of PA.; brother, Roy Williams of Cincinnati; three grandchildren, Kristin Anne Hallowell of Neelysville, Chelsi Dawn Williams of Pennsville, and Caden Lee-Rex Williams of Stockport; two great grandchildren, Masyn Hunter Hallowell and Makenzie Jayde Hallowell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Eva Finley and Loretta Jean Williams.Calling hours will be Wednesday September 11, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where funeral services will be held Thursday September 12,2013 at 1:00 p.m. Don will be laid to rest in Malta Cemetery. Masonic services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #24 Color Guard.
