Donald L. Alcock, 73, of McConnelsville, passed away on Mon, Feb. 5, 2024 at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.  He was born on Aug. 7, 1950 in Zanesville to the late Donald Alcock Sr. and Cleo Marshall Alcock.  He worked for Duke Energy in New Lexington before his retirement.  He was a member of the VFW Post #4713 in Malta, Eagles #2187 in McConnelsville and the American Legion Post #24 in McConnelsville.  He is survived by his brother, Mike (Darlene) Alcock of McConnelsville, 2 sisters, Carolyn Kuhn of McConnelsville and Kathy (Chas) Hall of McConnelsville and several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents.  Services will be held on Fri, Feb. 9, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the McConnelsville Cemetery.  Friends may call on the family from 11-1 P.M on the day of the services.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
