Donald Cleason Richardson, 89, of McConnelsville passed away Friday, August 24,2012 at 10:45 p.m. at his home. He was born October 25,1922 in Morgan County to the late Paul Floyd Richardson and Geneva Knox Richardson. He was retired from Clevite Corp. of McConnelsville where he had worked as a supervisor. Donald was a Navy veteran of W.W. II and was a member of the Valley Lodge # 145 F. & A.M. of Malta. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Valley Of Cambridge and was a longtime member of the Solomon Lutheran Church. Donald was a life long farmer and an avid bowler and was a member of the Morgan County Farm Bureau. He is survived by 3 sons Dan (Neva) Richardson of McConnelsville, Dennis Richardson of Lebanon, and Sid (Pam) Richardson of McConnelsville, 2 brothers Dean (Joy) Richardson of Malta and Virgil (Mary Jane) Richardson of Duncan Falls, 7 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 5 step-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Vivian Garrett Richardson, 2 sisters Edith Kidd and Elizabeth Roberts, 2 brothers Dee and Paul Richardson. Calling hours will be Monday August 27, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville and from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 28,2012 at the Solomon Lutheran Church where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Alex Brown and Albert Lease officiating. Donald will be laid to rest next to his wife Vivian in Eppley Cemetery. Masonic services will be held Monday at 8:00 p.m. and military honors will be conducted by the Morgan County Veterans Group.
