Donald F. Mingus 90, of 700 Halcyon Ave . McConnelsville passed away at 2:05 a.m. July 21, 2011 at the Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born July 20, 1921 in Trimble to the late Ernest Mingus and Elanore Roegge Mingus. He worked at Jones Coal Mine until he served in WWII . He also served in the Korean War and worked at Imperial Clevite from 1956 until he retired in 1991. He is survived by his wife Alma Jordan Mingus whom he married in Aug. 11, 1956;one daughter Valerie Vincent of Malta; two Step daughters Carolyn (Gene) Masterson of McConnelsville and Connie Pauley of Vincent, Ohio; three step sons Richard (Diane)McKibben of Columbus, Jerry McKibben of Zanesville, and Jeffrey (Kathy) McKibben of Jackson, Tennessee; two grandchildren Jared Vincent of Malta and Kara Vincent Chin of Joppa, Maryland and several step grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary; and three brothers, Robert, Ernest Jr, and Richard Mingus. At his request no calling hours will be held. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the McConnelsville Cemetery with military rites by the Morgan County Veterans Group.
