Donald R. Trainer, 81, of Zanesville, formerly of McConnelsville, passed away on Tues. Feb. 12, 2019 at the Cedar Hill Care Center in Zanesville. He was born on April 23, 1937 in Mountville to the late Lancelot and Frances Triplet Trainer. He worked as a Welder for AEP at the Muskingum River Plant in Beverly. He was a member of the Pennsville Vol. Fire Dept and the M&M Vol. Fire Dept. He loved to play softball and throw Darts. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Davis Trainer of Zanesville, a son, Darin (Debbie) Trainer of Zanesville, a daughter, Dawnette (Rodney) Young of Cobbitty New South Whales, 3 brothers, Richard Trainer of Georgia, George Trainer of Johnstown and Gary Trainer of Colorado Springs, 3 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son David Trainer, a brother, Russell Trainer and a sister, Jean Smith. Services will be held on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Malta Cemetery.
