Donna Grace Hooper, 89, of McConnelsville, passed away on Sun. Oct. 22, 2017 at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville. She was born on April 29, 1928 in Pennsville, Ohio to the late Vincent N. and Zanetta Griest Wetherell. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her family. She attended the Oakland United Methodist Church and was a member of the Coterie Club and OCCL Mothers Club. She is survived by 3 sons, Allen (Jeanne) Hooper of Hebron, James (Vivian) Hooper Sr. of Stockport and Dale (Judy) Hooper of Duncan Falls, a daughter, Jean (Ronald) Hoyt of Little Hocking, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arthur E. Hooper, a brother, Marion Wetherell and a sister, Betty Wetherell. Friends may call on the family on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017 from 6:30-8:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville. A private graveside service will be held on Friday morning at the Pennsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Genesis Morrison House Hospice.
