Donna L. Jago, 81 of Amesville, died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 12:40p.m. at her residence where she was born 81 years ago. She was born on June 16, 1928 in Ames Township to the late Charles and Hazel Linscott Kuhns. She retired from Ohio University where she was in Dorm Accounting and was a retire farmer. Donna was a former Ames Township Clerk, was very active in the Coonskin Library in Amesville, the Ames Bern Alumni Association, and her fondest memories of milking the cows, farming with a team of horses, peddling apples in the valley with her father and squirrel hunting. She is survived by her daughter, Toni Holdcroft and Nelson DeLong of Amesville, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Jago and one son Terry Jago. Services will be Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 11:00a.m. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill. Friends may call on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 from 4-7p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Appalachian Community Hospice, 30 Herrold Ave. Athens, Ohio 45701.
