Obituary

Donna Kaye (Ross) Spencer, age 86, passed away on June 26, 2026. Born on June 24, 1940 at Roxbury, Ohio. She was a loving, devoted and Godly wife, mother and grandmother. Her God given natural gifts were many. Painting and sewing had her winning awards and recognition with her works being showcased from bank to hotels (The Lafayette) to many other places where people will forever see and appreciate all of her magnificent works. She belonged to the Dale U.M. Church and The Dale Ladies Aide for years planning dinners and events. She loved reading her Bible, watching old westerns, sitting in the sun, having her hot tea, and just being in ‘the moment,’ always striving to help others and she never missed a chance to say, ‘I Love You.’ She is survived by her devoted husband, Terry Elwood Spencer, also survived by her loving daughter Holly, her beloved grandson, James (Olivia) Borick; as well as her cherished great-granddaughter Kalesia Borick. Preceded in death by infant grandchildren, Christopher Timothy and Nicolas Harrison. She is also survived by her loving son, David and wife Stephanie Spencer, her beloved grandchildren, Karsyn (Brandan) Bondoc, Mikaela (Alec) Perdue, and David Spencer, Jr., as well as her cherished great-grandson Milo Perdue. Preceded in death by infant grandchildren, Courtney Blake and Kyle Cardwell, the beloved children of David and Stephanie Spencer. She is also survived by her loving brother, Marvin J. Ross and wife Judy Ross, as well as her loving niece, Jana (Jeremy) Crock, and her loving nephew, Micah Ross, also a great-niece and great-nephew, Avery and Jaxon. Surviving also are many family members and friends who love her so very deeply. She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell J. Ross and Merle M. (Wolfe) Ross and her sister, Karen E. (Ross) Ohlinger. Services will be held on Tues., July 7, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Dale United Methodist Church with burial following in the Dale Cemetery. Friends may call on the family Mon., July 6 from 5-7 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral home in McConnelsville. In lieu of flowers donations can be given to her favorite charity, The Navigators. It is a Christian Ministry in their mission of discipleship. She would be so pleased with donations given to this organization.
