Obituary

Donnie J. Perry, 15, of Malta, passed away Friday, Oct. 2, from injuries suffered in an auto accident near Malta.

He was born March 24, 2000, in Columbus, Ohio.

Donnie was a sophomore at Morgan High School and a member of the Morgan High School Band. He also attended the Cornerstone Church in McConnelsville.

He is survived by his father, Don Perry of Athens; his mother, Pam Offenberger Gavin of Malta; a step-father, David Gavin of Malta; a sister, Hope Carpenter of Reynoldsburg; maternal grandparents, Debbie and Mike Offenberger of Stockport. Also surviving are two half-sisters, Missy and Angie; four half-brothers, Travis, Mike, Joe, and Tom; and step-grandparents Jim and Carolyn Ashton of Malta.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Herman and Amelia Perry; and a sister, Jordan Perry.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Cornerstone Church in McConnelsville, with Pastor Chuck Kuhn officiating.

Donnie will be laid to rest in Malta Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Citizens National Bank in McConnelsville, where an account has been established for the benefit of Donnie's family.
