Obituary

Donavon Edward Queen born March 25th 1931 in Radcliff, Ohio, resided in Morgan County since 1969 until he went to be with the Lord on April 27th 2016. Don started working on a farm outside of McArthur, Ohio at the age of 15. At 17 he moved to Mansfield, Ohio to work at Mansfield Radio. He then started his own business Queens Appliances, TV, & Antenna's on South Diamond Street in Mansfield, Ohio which he operated for 25 years, from 1958 through 1983. He bought the Queen farm in 1969 in Pennsville where he farmed, raised livestock, and continued to raise his family and watch it grow with his loving wife Lois Elaine Queen (Brown). He enjoyed continuing to farm, playing with his many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and the occasional glass of whisky until the day he went to rest. He is preceded in death by his father George W Queen, mother Elma Queen (Pendelton), step-mother Myrtle Queen, sister Minnie Lou Bowman, mother in law Kathryn Leaonna Brown (Heston), father in law Earl Marian Brown, half-brother Harold Queen half-sister Phillis King, half-sister Louise Church, great-grandson Jake Bush. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Lois Elaine Queen (Brown), son Earl Queen, son Paul Queen, son Michael Queen and spouse Stacy, son Dannie Queen and spouse Christine, daughter Lois Queen and spouse Scott (Hartman), daughter Kathryn Queen and spouse Bill (Ritchie), grandson Michael Queen spouse Misty, granddaughter Misty Dillon and spouse Dean, granddaughter Christy Bush and spouse Alan, granddaughter Heidi Miler and spouse Chad, granddaughter Amanda Queen, grandson Silas Queen, granddaughter Lindy Hartman, granddaughter Holly Fritz and spouse Kenny, granddaughter Brooke Hartman, grandson Hunter Ritchie, granddaughter Desiree Queen, grandson Mark Queen and Tony Basso, granddaughter Kendra Queen, granddaughter Kaitlyn Queen, grandson Joshua Queen and spouse Marcy, family friend Greg Smith, too many great grandchildren to count, and many kind individuals who helped out on the farm over the years. Family and friends may call on Friday April 29th from 5-8pm and 11-noon on Saturday April 30th at Pennsville United Methodist Church 1711 OH-377, Stockport, OH 43787. Services will be at 12:00 noon Saturday burial will immediately follow, all friends and family are welcome to attend.
