Dorothy Ellen Calendine, 66 of Malta, died at 6:40p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010 at her home. Born December 26, 1943 in Marietta to the late Herman and Leota Gheen Calendine. She worked for Essex wire in Zanesville and retired after 24 years as the bartender at the V.F.W. Post 4317 in Malta were she was also a member of the ladies Auxiliary. She dedicated a lot of her time to the veterans and appreciated their service. Surviving are two brothers, Russell Calendine and special friend Dorothy Dillon of Zanesville and Robert and Kaye Calendine of Malta, and three nephews and seven nieces. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Neva Calendine and Wilma Jean McGrew and two brothers, Frankie and Lester Calendine. Graveside services will be Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stockport Cemetery. Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.
