Dorothy May Mayle Hill, age 98, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away at 3:25 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Highland Oakes Health Center in McConnelsville. She was born on December 25, 1912, in Bartlett, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elwood and Roxie Norris Mayle. She was a homemaker and attended the Southland Mission Church in Cutler. Surviving are 1 son: Leonard Hill of Cutler; 4 daughters: Loretta Stevens of Cambridge, Juanita Jackson of Amesville, Garnet Jordan and Bernice Fischer, both of Zanesville, 15 grandchildren, many great grand children and several great great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry, 3 sons: Donald, Delbert, and Onie; 2 daughters: Delma Starks and Naomi Hill; 1 grandson, 1 granddaughter, and 1 great grandson. Services will held on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor Steven Hale officiating. Burial will be in Norris Cemetery near Cutler. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m.
