Dorothy Louise (Arnold) Kester, 83, of McConnelsville, Ohio died May 23 at Riverside Country Care Center. She was born on September 20, 1926 in Canton, Ohio, a daughter of Edgar O. and Verna Moock Arnold. Mrs. Kester was a secretary for and retired from the Veterans Service Administration in McConnelsville. She also worked for the United Telephone Co in McConnelsville and Sears in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was a 1944 graduate of Lincoln High School in Canton, Ohio. She attended Main St. Church of Christ and was a member of the Eastern Star. Dorothy was also active in the OCCL Mothers Club and PTO. Dorothy is survived by a son, Larry (Linda) Kester of Virginia Beach, Virginia, a daughter Connie (Lloyd) Clark of McConnelsville and a daughter Laurie (Russ) Salimbeni of McConnelsville. She was blessed with six grandchildren, David (Suzi) Huck, Mark (Renee) Ergazos, Natalie Kennedy, Leslie (Dan) Shalduha, Jeremy Miller and Michael Miller and five great-grandchildren, Jessica, J.R., Emma, Ella and Ava. She is also survived by one brother-in-law, Roger (Cathy) Kester and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Leo Verne Kester whom she married January 19, 1947, one brother James Arnold and one sister Marjorie Salewsky. Services will be Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville, with Pastor Galen Finley officiating. Burial will follow at the Bartlett Cemetery in Bartlett. Freinds may call on the family on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 5-8 p.m.
