Dorothy M. Leonard, 94, of Columbus formerly of Stockport, died on May 7, 2011 at the Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. She was born on August 18, 1916 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to the late Frank and Martha Wellman Blackmer. She was a homemaker, loving wife helping her husband Burl run their dairy farm in Stockport and a devoted mother to her daughter Janice and her grandchildren. She was a member of the Stockport United Methodist Church, and the East Windsor Grange. She is survived by her granddaughter Darlene (Jeff) Hunley of Columbus, three great grandchildren, Melissa (Ridge) Hunley, Jeffrey C. (Kelsey) Hunley, and James (Amber) Hunley all of Columbus, and one niece Jane Bumbgardner of McConnelsville. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Burl Leonard (1987), daughter, Janice Noble, and five brothers, Lawrence, Harold, Leroy, Walter, and Frank Jr. Blackmer. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Stockport Cemetery with Rev. John Ball officiating.
