Dorothy Meadows, 88, of 830 E. Main Street, McConnelsville, passed away at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011, at her home.

She was born May 13, 1922 in Alkol, WV, to the late Charley and Dulcia Smith Miller.

Mrs. Meadows was a homemaker and attended Grace United Methodist Church and the Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Delmar Duncan (Louise) Meadows of Bolivar, MO, and Dudley Warren (Beth) Meadows of Port Lavaca, TX; eight grandchildren, Julie, Scott, Dan, Erica, Mathew, Brittany, Shawn, and Caitlyn; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Weaver of McConnelsville and Nadine Dent of Beaver, OH; two brothers, Jimmy Miller of South Charleston, WV, and Larry Miller of North Carolina; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Meadows; a grandson, Chris Meadows; a sister, Marie Thompson; and two brothers, Victor and Mancel Miller.

Calling hours will be Friday, March 18, from 6-8 p.m. at Miller-Huck Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the funeral home with her son, Duncan Meadows officiating.

Burial will follow in McConnelsville Cemetery.
