Dorothy E. Steimer Raney 95, of 4112 N.Raney Rd. Malta passed away at 12:43 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital In Columbus. She was born November 11, 1915 in Tridelphia the daughter of the late George and Anna Steimer. She was a mother and homemaker . She was a member of the Tridephia Luthern Church.She is survived by children John (Barbara) Raney of Philo, Wanda (Maynard) Swingle of Waterford, Gloria Hill of the home,Donald (Vivian) Raney of Zanesville,Mary (David) Bigart of Malta,Dorothy Jean Slowter of Malta,and Martha Coultrap of Dresden; fifteen grandchildren , several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Raney who died in 1982; one son, Larry Raney; and two brothers Paul and Charles Steimer.Friends may call 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2011 .
