View a Video Memorial Dorris S. Coleman, 90, of Beverly, died on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at 2:16 A. M. at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta. He was born on May 31, 1921 in Athens, Ohio to the late George and Thelma Humphry Coleman. He was a retired oilfield worker and was a 50-year member of the Pennsville Volunteer Fire Department. He loved Mechanic work no matter what it was from cars to lawn mowers and even fire trucks. He is survived by four daughters, Charlene (Tom) Bebout of Cincinnati, Linda (David) Lohr of Beverly, Sharon (Clem) Biedenbach of Beverly and Cheryl (Jim) Ullman of Beverly, one brother, Max (Eleanor) Coleman of Newark, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lena G. Colerick Coleman, one son Curtis J. Coleman, one sister, Leola Newton, one brother, Ivan Coleman, one granddaughter, Brandi Jackson and two great grandsons, Joshua Jackson and Denny Gossett Jr. Services will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Pennsville Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 3-7 P.M. on Saturday, November 26, 2011. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pennsville Volunteer Fire Department C/O Richard Welsh 1401 Washington Street Stockport, Ohio 43787.
