Douglas W. Johnston 77, of McConnelsville passed away at 3:10 a.m. November 20, 2023 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born October 22, 1946 in Hartford, Connecticut the son of the late, William Edwin Johnston and Nancy Turney Johnston. Doug majored in Forestry at Case Western University and later was employed as a Medical Photographer at the University, he was a devoted loving husband, avid hunter, life member of the NRA, and most of all loved farming in Washington County near Palmer Square. He is survived by his wife, Jane Westbrook Johnston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Johnston; and sister, Melissa Turney Johnston. Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is entrusted with cremation arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Malta Methodist Church in Malta.
