Dowl J "Junior" Mayle, 83, of Chesterhill, passed away on Friday, Aug. 24, 2018 at his son's residence. He was born on May 6, 1935 in Philippi, WVa to the late Lindsey and Opal "Sweets" Kennedy Mayle. He served his country in the US Air Force and worked as a laborer at Malta Manufacturing. He is survived by a son Bruce (Mary Wood) Mayle of Chesterhill, daughter, Sherry Walker of Columbus, 2 brothers, Floyd Mayle of Philippi, WVa and Mike Mayle of Canton, 4 sisters, Carol (Bud) Hill of Chesterhill, Patty (Lee) Hill of Chesterhill, Nancy (John) Tippee of McConnelsville and Kathy (Jeff) McKibben of Lexington, TN, 2 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a special friend Tom Norman of Zanesville. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Albert and Roger, 1 sister, Freda and a daughter, Joyce Mayle. Services will be held on Monday Aug. 27, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Chesterhill Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 11-2 P.M. on the day of the funeral.
