Edna Lyon Dawson 81, of 43 N. 9th Street McConnelsville , formerly of Stockport passed away at 11 :30 p.m. November 4, 2009 at her son's home near Pennsville. She was born May 27, 1928 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Ross A. and Hazel McClurg Lyon. She was a homemaker and worked at Malta Manufacturing and took care of elderly in her home for several years. She was a member of the M&M CB club and her handle was Birdwatcher. She is survived by two sons Michael (Darlene) Dawson of Malta, David (Bernice) Dawson of Pennsville , four daughters Kay Trader of Logan, Beth Cole (Buddy Murphy) of Chesterhill , Lisa (Terry) Page of Pennsville, and Roxanne (Tony) Riley of Stockport; 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clair Dawson who died in 2005, an infant son Randy Dawson, two sons in laws Leo Trader and Lawrence Cole, a grandson Jim Dawson and two brothers Howard E. Lyon and Chancy Lyon. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. today at the MILLER-HUCK FUNERAL HOME in McConnelsville. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Dean Blackburn officiating.Burial will be in McConnelsville Cemetery.
