CHESTERHILL: Edna Maxine Wade Jones, age 93, of Chesterhill, Ohio, passed away at 6:35 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Highland Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in McConnelsville. She was born April 21, 1919 near Chesterhill, a daughter of the late Burgess and Bertha Ahle Wade. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening. She liked creating beautiful arrangements and wreaths from things she gathered while walking through the woods. She was a member of the Chesterhill Church of the Nazarene, the Happy Knotter's Quilting Club, Pennsville Garden Club and Fairview Grange. Maxine married Floyd Jones and together they raised three sons, who survive: David and Cheryl Jones of Malta, Ohio, Duane and Carolyn Jones of Jacksonville, Ohio, and Keith and Cathi Jones of Chesterhill, Ohio; also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 33 great- grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren; and her dear friend Donna Dunn of Bartlett, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Floyd; two sisters, Leona Ball and Marjorie Wells; and her brother, Henry Wade. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor Charles Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the Malta Cemetery, Malta, Ohio. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
