Edna "Irene" Weaver, 86, of 1200 St. Rt. 377 Malta passed away Thursday October 13,2011 at 1:48 p.m. at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. She was born April 16,1925 to the late Charles Sumner and Edna Nelson Sumner. She was a housewife and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in McConnelsville.

Irene is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Harold Weaver; a daughter, Cheryl (Jim) Miller of McConnelsville; an adopted daughter, Tina Weaver of Malta; three sons, Rodger (Daphne) Weaver of McConnelsville, Marvin (Lora) Weaver of Malta, and Philip Weaver of Malta; two angels, Jeff and Charity Work of Malta; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great great grandson. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her step father, Harry Brock; a sister, Mary Slater; three brothers, William Nelson, Sumner "Curly" Nelson, and Robert Brock; a grandson, Christopher Meadows.

No services will be observed, a caring cremation will take place.
