Obituary

Edward A. Hatzer, 51, of Cedar Park, Texas, formerly of Columbus, passed away on Wednesday Dec.31, 2025, at his home. He was born on February 3, 1974, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Clarence "Ed" Hatzer and Ellen Kay Hill Hatzer. Anthony was a devoted son, brother, father, and friend. Known for his strong work ethic and generous heart, he was the co-owner and operator of Maintenance of Austin. Above all, Edward Anthony loved his family. Edward Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Clarence "Ed" Hatzer, whom he closely resembled in character, mannerisms, and heart. Anthony is survived and loved by his mother, Ellen Kay Hatzer of Columbus; two sons, Jeremy Hatzer and Riley Hatzer of Austin,TX, who were the joy of his life; his brother Nathan (Lauren) Hatzer of Winter Haven, Fl; and his sister, Wendy Hatzer of Blacklick, Ohio. He also leaves behind his aunt Sue Hill of Chesterhill, and cousin Lisa Hill Rush of Chesterhill and cousin Marvin Mayle of Columbus. They have always been a constant and loving presence in Anthony's life, and an important part of the Hatzer family. Anthony also leaves to cherish his memory, many extended family members and friends who were deeply impacted by his life. Edward shared a close and meaningful bond with his great friend and brother, Kyle Daniell, whose friendship was marked by loyalty, laugher, and brotherhood. He was also a proud co-owner and younger brother to Travis Wallace, with whom he shared both business and deep personal connection rooted in mutual respect and trust.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at City of Grace Church (3350 Allegheny Avenue, Columbus, Ohio), on Friday, January 30, 2026. Family Visitation  11am-12:00PM, Service 12:00PM -1:00 pm. Arrangements entrusted to Stone-Matheney Funeral Home, Chesterhill, Ohio
