McCONNELSVILLE - Edythe Teressa Hemry, 91, of Summerville at North Hills, formerly of McConnelsville, passed away at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born Oct. 6, 1917, in Bloom Township in Morgan County, to the late Earl C. Roberts and Gertrude Sines Roberts. She was an operator of Holbein Feed and Supply in McConneslville and also worked for more than 20 years at Kroger in McConnelsville and Zanesville. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Zanesville, Muskingum Chapter Order of Eastern Star 485 and voluntired at Bethesda Hospital for more than 20 years. She is survived by two sons, Duane Hemry of Fort Myers Fla. and Donald (Geneva) Hemry of Zanesville; one sister, Christine (Gene) Ray of Malaga; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert M. Hemry; one son, Max Hemry; and two brothers, Dean and Oscar Roberts. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at the Matheney Funeral Home. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at the funeral home, with Pastor Aaron Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the McConnelsville Cemetery.
