Eleanor Erwin Smith, 96, of McConnelsville, passed away on Monday, Jan 9, 2017 at the Riverside landing Nursing Home in McConnelsville. She was born on June 7, 1920 in Jackson, Ohio to the late Charles and Marie Evans Erwin. She was a homemaker and an RN and worked as the Director of Nursing at the Mark Rest Nursing Home in McConnelsville. She was a member of the Malta United Methodist Church. She is survived by 3 daughters, Patricia (Dave) Bunsey of Grove City, Linda (Bob) Loar of McConnelsville and Delilah Brownrigg of Hackney, 1 brother, Robert E. Erwin of North Point, Fl, 3 sisters, Louise Richards of Thurman, Carolyn Lewis of Oak Hill and Marge Ervin of Jackson, 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Smith, 1 brother and 2 sisters. Services will be held on Thursday, Jan 12, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Pastor Rick Bourne officiating. Burial will follow in the McConnelsville Cemetery. Friends may call on the family 1-hour prior to the services.
