Ellen M. Riffle, 80, of Stockport, passed away on Sun, Oct. 18, 2026, at her residence. She was born on March 23, 1946, in Stockport, Ohio, to the late Edgar and Mary Muse Hanson. She worked at the Parmiter Nursing Home in Malta for several years in the house cleaning department following that she loved baking and taking care of other people. She was well known for her meringue pies. She is survived by 2 sons, Shane E. Riffle and Shawn Riffle, special daughter-in-law Angie Bankes, a sister, Carol Howearth, and several dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry C. Riffle, special friend Jake Fitch, and her beloved fur babies, B-dog, Zoie and Layla. A private graveside service will take place on Weds, Oct. 21, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the Fairview Cemetery in Stockport. A friends and family gathering will follow after the service at the Moose Lodge in McConnelsville. Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.
