Elmer P. (Posey) Lewis, 92 passed away on Thurs. 9/6/10 at9:50 p.m. peacefully at his residence in Marietta,O. after a courageous battle with cancer.. Posey was born Sept. 1, 1918 the son of the late Elmer C. and Jesse Milton Lewis. He was employed and retired from Bates and Rogers Const. Co. where he worked for many years as a foreman. Early in Posey's career he worked for many of the local coal mines as well as some mines in W. Va., He then traveled to Oakland , Cal. Where he was record presser. He is survived by 1 sister Evelyn Robinson of Chesterhill,O. 1 brother George Lewis of Burson,Cal. , 1 daughter Marie Bridges of Merritt Island, Fla. A very special great grand son Derek Rush and wife Kacy, 4 grandchildren Shannon Rush, Racquel Porter,Courtney Rush And Troy Rush. Many Great grand children , and 1greatgreat grandson Brycen Rush. Many nieces and nephews and a special care giver Phyllis Gregory of Matietta,O. and an old Buddy Raymond Rush of McConnelsville,O. He was preced in death by 4 brothers Jim, Harvey, Clyde, and Charles, 4 sisters Bessie., Leona, Ann and Zelica. And his widow Beradine Lewis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday Sept. 10 ,10 at the Mt. Hermon Church Amesville,O. Visitation wil be Thurs. Sept. 9,10 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home Chesterhill,O. and 1 hour prior to the service at the church, Pastor J. R. Walker officiating, burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery,
