Obituary

Elmer H. Riffle, 78, of Stockport, passed away at 3:50 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015, at the Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.

He was born December 17, 1936, in York Township, Morgan County, a son of the late Gilbert Riffle and Hazel Adkin.

Mr. Riffle worked at Rockwell International for 24 years and was an avid mushroom hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed having coffee with friends and family.

He is survived by his widow, Pat Salyer Riffle, whom he married April 3, 1990; daughters, Kimberly (Shane) Dement of Zanesville, Mindy (Donnie) Cottrell of Deavertown; step-children, Regina Hicks of Vermont, Melissa Haney of Trimble and Roger Haney Jr. of Logan; grandchildren, Cody, Lindsay, Jason, Levi, Laci, Troy and Adam; great-grandson, Bo Porter; sisters, Lucille Riffle of Crooksville, Rosie Harris of North Carolina; brother, Jack Riffle of Crooksville; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Riffle of Marysville.

* In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorrie Riffle; brothers, Robert, Eldon, Lawrence, Harold; sisters, Blanche, Ollie, Bernice and Evelene; and a brother-in-law, Howard Harris.

Memorial calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
