McCONNELSVILLE - Emma Mae Jenkins, 90, of Ohio 669, McConnelsville, passed away at 5:35 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at Genesis Health and Rehab in McConnelsville. She was born July 23, 1918, in Oakland near Stockport, to the late Oscar Baker and Mary Simons Baker. She was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. She is survived by two sons, John (Kathy) Jenkins of Virginia Beach and Don (Scarlett) Jenkins of Philo; three daughters, Betty (Ray) Davis of New Matamoras, Mary Davis of Indianapolis, and Carol Jenkins of McConnelsville; 12 grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Jenkins; three brothers, Lou, Clyde and Emmett Baker; two sisters, Lela Pattin and Flossie Ellis. Calling hours will be 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, at Matheney Funeral Home, in McConnelsville. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at the funeral home, with Pastor Glenn Smith officiating. Burial will be in McConnelsville Cemetery.
