Eric A. Gilcrest, 65 of Sharpsburg, passed away on Thur. Sept. 20, 2018 at the Riverside Landing Assisted Living in McConnelsville. He was born on Nov. 30, 1952 in Sharpsburg to the late Arthur and Erma Hyde Gilchrist. He worked as a laborer for the Chicago Tribune news paper. He is survived by 2 brothers, David Gilchrist of Columbus and Wayne Gilchrist of Sharpsburg, a sister Vera Gilchrist of Chesterhill and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. A visitation will be held on Thur. Sept 27, 2018 from 12-1 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with a graveside service following at the Mt.
