Ethel Marie Guth Covey, 99, of 2950 Sycamore Lane, Stockport, died at 2:29 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.
She was born April 15, 1910, in Flushing, OH, a daughter of James and Pearl Turney Ford.
She was a graduate of Kent State University and was a former school teacher and homemaker. She was president of the Clark's Corners, NY, Home Bureau for eight years.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald Guth of Stockport and Richard (Sylvia) Guth of South Dayton, NY; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Philip Guth; her second husband, Mahlon Covey; one son, Charles Guth; one sister, Frances; and three brothers, Harley, Wilford, and Walter.
Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, in Myrtle Cemetery near Kennedy, NY.
