Ethel Holbert Thompson age 98 of Chesterhill passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Morrison House of Zanesville. She was the daughter of the late John and Elsie Johnson Holbert. Ethel was a homemaker and member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle of Chesterhill. Surviving is one son William(Mary) Thompson Chesterhill, and 4 daughters Linda Stevens McConnelsville, Alice Faye Woody and Elizabeth Stevens Chesterhill, and Rebecca Thompson Dayton, 1 sister Betty Scott Columbus, several grand, greatgrand, and greatgreat grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Chancie Thompson, parents, and 5 sons David, Jerry, Robert, James, and Charles Thompson. Funeral services will be Tues. Jan. 10, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Mt. Hermon Church Amesville, friends may call Mon. Jan. 9, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home Chesterhill and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
