Eugene Hryb, 90 of McConnelsville, passed away on Monday, Nov. 25, 2019 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville.  He was born on Oct. 26, 1929 in Pittsburg, PA to the late Michael and Mary Tkach Hryb.  He served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict and was the owner operator of Imperial Carpet Cleaners in McConnelsville for over 37 years.  He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, 50-year member of Masonic Lodge #45 in Pittsburg, 32 Degree Scottish Rite of Cambridge and the Aladdin Shrine in Columbus.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sonya Manly Hryb of the home, 2 sons, Kenneth Hryb of Vienna and David Hryb of Rayleigh NC, a daughter, Amy (William) Devereaux of North Smithfield RI, a sister, Irene McIsaac of Oakton Virginia, 6 grandsons, 3 great grandsons, a great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul Hryb.  Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 29, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville.  Friends may call on the family from 12-2:00 P.M. on the day of the service.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
