Eugene Maher, 71, of McConnelsville, formerly of Greenville, Ohio died on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. He was born on Aug. 4, 1941 in Pontiac, Michigan to Eugene F. and Rose F. Cloonan Maher. He was a self-employed carpenter a Catholic by faith and a member of the Sons of The American Legion Post # 24 in McConnelsville. He is survived by his mother, Rose Cloonan Maher of Greenville, one son, Eugene Maher Jr. of Greenville, one daughter, Rose Ann Ingram of Alabama and one brother, Michael Maher of Greenville. He is preceded in death by his father. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Father Paul Walker officiating.
