Eva Mae Clifton, 85, of the Riverside Country Care Center in McConnelsville passed away at 8:31 p.m. Monday, Feb 27, 2012 at the Care Center.

She was born July 23, 1926 in Union Township, Morgan County, a daughter of the late Delmer Niceswanger and Lucy Mae Miller Niceswanger.

She worked at several restaurants in the McConnelsville area and worked at Essex Wire. She was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville.

She is survived by one son, Greg Clifton of McConnelsville; one granddaughte, Chelsea Clifton of Panama City, FL; three sisters, Norma Stewart of Chillicothe, Shelba Garrett of Malta, and Mary Bodie of Milton, FL; and one brother, Carl Niceswanger of McConnelsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Clifton, who died June 23, 1985; and four brothers John, Walter, Joe, and Jerry Niceswanger.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 2.

Burial will follow in the McConnelsville Cemetery.
