Florence J. Beard, 77, of Chesterhill, passed away on Sat. Dec. 10, 2016 at the Doctors Hospital in Columbus. She was born on April 11, 1939 in Chesterhill to the late Ray and Delsie Thompson Mosier. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Happy Knotters Sewing Club. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gerald W. Beard of the home, a daughter, Carol (Jack) Welch of Chesterhill, a brother, Earl Mosier of Chesterhill, a sister, Irene Newton of Chesterhill, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Eva Salisbury. Services will be held on Thur., Dec. 15, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with burial following in the Mountville Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Weds. Dec. 14, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
