Florence Elizabeth "Libby" Humphrey, 86 of Chesterhill, died on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:10 P.M. at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta. She was born on June 21, 1925 in Chesterhill to the late Milton "Pete" and Florence L. Van Dyke Wallace. She was a homemaker and a member of the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ near Stockport. She was a 1943 graduate of Marion High School in Chesterhill. She is survived by 1 son, David (Melanie) Humphrey of Stockport, 3 daughters, Sue (Sherman) Astrop of Columbus, Lisa (Ron) Lollar of Athens, and Paula (Dean) Montgomery of Parkersburg, 1 brother, John Wallace of Dayton, 1 sister, Mary Louise (Sonny) Carpenter of Chesterhill, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul Humphrey, 3 brothers, Orton, Leonard and Vernet Wallace, 2 sisters, Corabelle Petti and Garnet Calendine. Private graveside services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Chesterhill Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Thursday, March 22, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill.
