Florence L. Smith 87, of McConnelsville, passed away at 10:10 p.m. August 5, 2014 at her home. She was born July 2, 1927 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Clell Brown and Lessie Burns Brown. She was retired from Malta Maufacturing Co. in Malta and was Methodist by faith. She is survived by her children Don (Dawn) Smith of Trumansbory, N.Y.; Sherry (Duane) Hill of Pennsville;Richard (Deb) Smith of Crooksville; Larry Smith of McConnelsville; Gary (Tina) Smith of Portersville; Debra Smith of McConnelsville ; William Smith of McConnelsville ; Jeffrey (Lynn) Smith of McConnelsville and Cathy (Calvin) Robinson of Columbus; 17 grandchildren ,19 great grandchildren . 4 great great grandchildren , several nieces and nephews; brothers Bill Brown and Fred Brown ; sisters Wilma Good, Shiela Morgan and Mary Faulhabor. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leo Smith who died in 2008, daughter Carol Sue , son Marty , brother Carl Brown, sisters Jan Thomas, Saundra Faulhaber and Juanita Tucker. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 Friday , August 8, 2014 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will follow at 8:00p.m. with Pastor Dan Hickerson officiating.
