Frances Lou Tate, age 62, of Canal Winchester, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 24, 2011. She was born September 17, 1948, in Cutler, Ohio, to the late Leo and Fearl (Harris) Tate. Fran was a long time member of Faith Assembly of God Church. She also was preceded in death by her brother Dwight and sister, Esther. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Tate, Alexandria, VA; brothers, James (Wanda) Tate, Paul (Yvonne) Tate, and Donald Tate; sisters, Virginia Norris, Catherine (James) Davis, Judith Smith, and Rita Tate; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends. Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 West Waterloo St., Canal Winchester. Funeral service will be held Thursday 1:00 p.m. at Faith Assembly of God Church, 720 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester with Pastor Ray Richards officiating. A second visitation will be held 6-8 p.m Thursday at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home, 7465 Marion St., Chesterhill, OH 43728. Graveside service Friday at 11 a.m. at Old Quaker Cemetery, Bartlett, Ohio.
