Obituary

Fred R. Hunter, 72, of McConnelsville passed away at 11:58 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born January 4, 1944 in Nelsonville to the late William Hunter and Myrtle Scott Hunter. Fred was a retired fork lift operator having worked at Taylor Woodcraft for 15 years and Shelly & Sands for 29 years. He was a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Corinthian Lodge #111 F. & A.M. of McConnelsville. He is survived by a daughter Darla (Wayne) Russell of McConnelsville and a son Fred (Margaret) Hunter of New Lexington, seven grandchildren, a sister Rosemary Duncan of Hackney and a brother William (Billy) Hunter of McConnelsville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Delilah Sue Hunter, four sisters Norma Spencer, Wanda Anderson Owens, Sandra Anderson, and Brenda Duncan, six brothers Richard, Herb, Darrell, Jerry, Jack, and Tom Hunter. Calling hours will be Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where funeral services will be held Monday, March 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. A masonic service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Fred will be laid to rest beside his wife Delilah in the Pisgah Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.miller-huck.com
